Adriana Giudice appointed as new IFFO President for the 2026-2027 term

The International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organisation (IFFO) has announced the appointment of Adriana Giudice as President and Egil Magne Haugstad as Vice-President for the 2026-2027 term, following the election of its new Management Board.

Giudice, currently CEO of Austral Group, is a member of the IFFO Management Board representing Latin America for the 2025-2025 term. Austral Group is one of the Peru’s leading producers of fishmeal, fish oil and frozen fish. With a workforce of 1,200 people, the company operates four processing plants along the Peruvian coast – Coischo, Chancay, Pisco and Ilo – and manages a modern fleet of 19 fishing vessels.

 

 

Egil Magne HEgil Magne Haugstad, President of the current IFFO Management Board (2024-2025 term) and board member for Europe, will continue his involvement with the organisation as Vice-President. Haugstad is CEO of Pelagia AS, whose head office is in Norway, with factories located across the North Atlantic.

The company’s fishmeal and fish oil plants are based in Norway, England, Scotland and Ireland. Pelagia is the world’s largest producer of pelagic seafood and Norway’s leading manufacturer of high-quality omega-3 concentrates. It also operates the largest fleet of vessels collecting by-products from categories 3 and 2 of the salmon industry.

Upon her appointment, Adriana Giudice expressed her pride in taking on the role, stating that she looks forward to “contributing to IFFO’s vision of leading the responsible development of marine ingredients globally” and bringing her experience from Peru in “innovation and sustainability.”

For his part, Egil Magne Haugstad highlighted his commitment to continue serving on the IFFO Management Board and to support the organisation’s role as “a meeting place for the marine ingredients industry as it continues to grow.”

IFFO expressed its gratitude to the outgoing board members – Felipe Zaldivar, Fernando Ribaudo, Dan James and Johann Peter Andersen – for their contribution to the organisation’s development as a global, science-based entity. The organisation also welcomed its new board members for the 2026-2027 term: Cristian Larrain, Gustavo Delgado Aparicio, Hafthor Eiriksson and Bjorn Kwak.
