Euroshrimp, European meeting point for shrimp aquaculture professionals, has confirmed its participation in Aquaculture Europe 2025 (AE2025), which will take place in Valencia, Spain. Following the success of last year’s edition, the organisation announced that this year’s event promises “to be another inspiring gathering.”
According to the organisers, “we have once again managed to put together a dynamic and varied programme for you. So you can expect insightful presentations, valuable networking opportunities and lively discussions. Whether you want to exchange ideas with others, find new ideas or just catch up with the community – this event offers something for everyone.”
The Euroshrimp Forum will be held on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, from 10:30 to 12:30, in room Gran Pinedo at the Sercotel Sorolla Palace Hotel, the venue for AE2025. The session will be chaired by Mirko Bögner and will bring together experts from research institutes, certification bodies and industry.
The Euroshrimp programme includes presentations on hatchery and nursery management strategies, circular and climate-resilient farming in the Netherlands, the integration of welfare principles in shrimp farming standards, the training of young researchers in biofloc technology, and the use of virtual reality for teaching best practices. In addition, results from the CRANGO project on the aquaculture of brown shrimp (Crangon crangon) will be presented, followed by a general discussion.
Organisers underline that participants can “enjoy interesting speakers and lots of exchange in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere.”
