Noray Seafood, formerly known as Gamba Natural S.L. and renowned for its production of fresh and sustainable shrimp in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula, has announced that a new investment group, led by co-founder and former CEO Bjorn Aspheim, has acquired the entire company, marking "an exciting new chapter in its journey toward more sustainable aquaculture."
Noray, which until now operated under the ownership of the Creadev group, has made significant strides in research and development (R&D) and strengthened its commercial strategy in the last phase.
Bjorn Aspheim, who returns to lead the company, expressed his enthusiasm for Noray's future: "I founded Noray with the goal of providing a solution to the challenges of traditional shrimp aquaculture. I am deeply grateful to Creadev and the entire Noray team for bringing us to this exciting turning point."
For his part, Charles Francois, Director of Investments at Creadev, noted: "It has been an honor to support Noray's mission toward sustainable food. We are confident that under Bjorn's leadership, the company will continue to build on the strong foundation we have established."
With this new acquisition and Aspheim's return, Noray is poised to accelerate its mission to transform shrimp aquaculture with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
The company, which has already shown tremendous potential in the market, will continue to drive its innovative technology and reaffirm its commitment to quality and sustainable growth.
Noray's team remains a key pillar of the company's success, and the new management plans to foster an environment that values innovation and personal development. Thus, Noray continues its vision of generating a positive impact on global food systems.
