Effective broodstock management is a critical aspect of aquaculture, directly influencing production quality, sustainability, and the genetic improvement of farmed species. To showcase the latest advancements in this field, Aquaculture Europe 2025, taking place in Valencia from 22 to 25 September, under the theme “Aquaculture for All: Invest in Your Planet”, will feature two dedicated sessions focusing on both freshwater and marine species.

Led by Dr Juan F. Asturiano, the session on “Reproduction and Broodstock Management – Freshwater”, and Dr Ana Gómez, who will chair the session on “Reproduction and Broodstock Management – Marine Species”, will delve into the key biological and management strategies essential for optimising broodstock performance in aquaculture.

Both conveners extend an invitation to researchers, professionals, and industry experts to submit their work and contribute their expertise to these discussions. Abstract submissions are now open, with a deadline of 1 May for oral presentations, while e-poster submissions will be accepted until 15 August.

This event presents a valuable opportunity to exchange insights, forge new collaborations, and stay informed about the latest breakthroughs in aquaculture reproduction.
