A precise approach to fish nutrition, rooted in a deep understanding of physiological needs and metabolic responses, is driving sustainable aquaculture forward. Whether the goal is to enhance feed efficiency, support fish welfare, or tackle emerging challenges such as climate change, these insights are proving essential.
To highlight the latest innovations and trends in this field, Professor Alessio Bonaldo of the University of Bologna, Italy, is convening a proposed the session entitled “Nutrition-Physiology & Requirements” at Aquaculture Europe 2025, taking place in Valencia from 22 to 25 September.
Speaking to misPeces, Professor Bonaldo explained that the session will cover a wide array of topics, from nutrient absorption and metabolic pathways to how fish adapt physiologically to environmental stress.
Researchers, professionals, and industry specialists are warmly encouraged to submit their work and take part in these pivotal discussions that are shaping the future of aquaculture. Abstract submissions are now open: proposals for oral presentations are due by 1 May, while e-posters may be submitted until 15 August.
