Cromaris - Croatia

Cromaris, a premier Mediterranean aquaculture company based in Croatia specialising in European seabass and gilthead sea bream, continues to build on its growth trajectory with a commendable performance in 2024.

According to the company's unaudited consolidated reports, sales revenue reached €108 million, marking a 3% increase compared to the previous year. This growth aligns with a total sales volume that hit 13,946 tonnes of whole fish equivalent, a 2% rise, highlighting the company's resilience amidst industry challenges.

A substantial portion of Cromaris's success can be attributed to its robust export markets, which accounted for 86% of the total sales volume. The company has excelled particularly in diversifying its product portfolio, with 42% of its total revenue derived from differentiated products, including dentex and BIO fresh fish, which have experienced the most significant growth.

Despite facing rising feed costs and the impact of climate change, which has increased fish mortality rates, Cromaris achieved a 4% increase in EBITDA, totalling €14 million. Moreover, the net profit saw an impressive 10% increase to €4.2 million.

Cromaris's commitment to sustainability and innovative practices continues to propel its success, cementing its status as a leader in Mediterranean aquaculture and setting a benchmark for responsible and profitable operations in the industry.
