The Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP) has opened applications for the second edition of its NextGen Deep Dive, a two-day training programme aimed at supporting the next generation of fish farming professionals. The event will take place in Brussels on 17 and 18 March 2026.
According to FEAP, the initiative is designed to help early-career professionals “better understand the role of EU-level institutions, lobbies, networks, but also how to have a transformative impact on the future of fish farming in Europe, from farm to associations.”
The call is open to fish farmers and aquaculture workers aged under 45 who are interested in learning about European institutions and are able to communicate in English. A total of 10 participants will be selected.
FEAP says the programme will offer the chance to “join a community of knowledge, connect across Europe with like-minded professionals of all ages and horizons, help you in your career, open opportunities for your professional development and benefit the whole fish farming sector in the long run.”
The two days in Brussels will include visits and meetings with EU institutions and aquaculture stakeholders, expert-led workshops, group work and informal networking sessions.
FEAP will cover travel costs, two nights of accommodation, public transport in Brussels, dinner on 17 March and lunch on 18 March.
Applications must be submitted through the link provided by FEAP, which directs candidates to the full guidelines and application form.
