Mowi, the world’s leading producer of Atlantic salmon, harvested a total of 133,000 tonnes gutted weight in the second quarter of 2025, surpassing its previous guidance of 130,000 tonnes and up from 110,000 tonnes in the same quarter last year.

The increase was driven by strong biological performance across key farming regions. Norway led with 72,500 tonnes, followed by Scotland 24,000 tonnes, Chile 15,500 tonnes, Canada 9,500 tonnes, Ireland 5,000 tonnes, the Faroe Islands 4,500 tonnes, and Iceland 2,000 tonnes.

Group Operating EBIT reached approximately €189 million (NOK 2.206 billion), compared to €198 million (NOK 2.199 billion) in Q2 2024. The result was underpinned by improved cost control, with blended farming costs decreasing to €5.39 per kilo, from €5.84 in Q2 2024 and €5.89 in Q1 2025.

Regional EBIT per kilo performance was as follow: Norway: €1.90, Scotland: €1.30, Chile: €1.15, Faroes: €0.90, Ireland: €0.20, Canada: €0.25, and Iceland: -€2.20, reflecting very low harvest volumes in the latter.

Mowi’s value-added segments also delivered strong results. The Consumer Products division recorded an Operational EBIT of €52 million, while Mowi Feed reported an Operational EBITDA of €14 million, reflecting continued momentum.

Net interest-bearing debt (excluding IFRS 16 effects) stood at approximately €1.895 billion at quarter-end.
