The Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz (APBC) has initiated the process for the administrative concession requested by Kingfish Iberia SL for 47,000 square metres in the Commercial Fishing Dock of El Puerto de Santa María.

This company, which controls the shareholding of Futuna Blue España SL, the world's first commercial hatchery for greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili), plans to develop an ambitious project at this location to rear 4,500 tonnes of Seriola.

The application was published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado (Official State Gazette), as is customary for this type of concession. For a period of twenty working days, any natural or legal person may examine the project file and submit any objections.

This project, which joins several other important aquaculture initiatives in these areas managed by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, could have a significant economic impact on local development, as well as contributing to the production of quality fish.
