Aquasoja Sponsors FEAP NextGen Academy Training: A Deep Dive into EU Institutions

Aquasoja is the official sponsor of the inaugural FEAP NextGen Academy Training: “A Deep Dive into EU Institutions”, organized by the Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP).

Held on 25 and 26 March in Brussels, the event was designed to equip young professionals in aquaculture, aged 25 to 45, with an in-depth understanding of how EU institutions operate, as well as the key stakeholder networks that shape policymaking in the sector.

The training programme featured a mix of theoretical and interactive sessions, including presentations on the role of FEAP and the functioning of EU institutions. Beyond the classroom, participants also visited the European Parliament, where they engaged in a meet and greet with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and advisers from the Committee of Fisheries.

During this session, several leading industry figures delivered insightful presentations, including: Alexander Döring, Secretary-General of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation (FEFAC), David Bassett, Secretary-General of the European Aquaculture Technology & Innovation Platform (EATIP), Nikos Zampoukas, Policy Officer in the "Healthy Seas and Oceans" Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
