The European Commission will open its 2026 aquaculture data call on 20 August, collecting economic information from EU Member States.
Data for 2023 and 2024 will be mandatory, covering sales, energy and feed costs, employment, investment, assets, debt and the number of enterprises, together with sales volume and value by species.
The operational deadline is 23 September, with the database closing on October. The exercise will provide an updated comparable dataset on the structure and economic performance of EU aquaculture.
