Informe Comisión Europea sobre algas

On 27 March, the EU4Algae project, funded by the European Union, will host its first quarterly webinar, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the latest advancements in the algae sector and strengthen industry collaboration. Taking place online from 10:00 to 13:00 CET, the event will feature representatives from the European Commission, researchers, businesses, and organisations driving innovation in this fast-growing bioindustry.

The session will begin with opening remarks from the European Commission, followed by an overview of the webinar’s objectives and structure, led by the EU4Algae team. A major highlight will be the presentation of key findings and achievements from the project’s work between 2022 and 2024. Experts from S.Pro and EABA will outline significant milestone, while the launch of a Licensing Toolkit aims to simplify regulatory processes within the sector.

A key segment of the webinar will focus on enhancing community engagement by streamlining EU4Algae’s working groups, reducing them from seven to four. This restructuring aligns with the EU Algae Initiative and aims to improve efficiency and collaboration. The session will provide an in-depth explanation of these challenges, alongside opportunities for engagement and an interactive Q&A session.

The event will also spotlight EU-funded algae projects, featuring an analysis of the CINEA project portfolio and its synergies with EU4Algae’s database. Selected projects covering governance, business development, research, and public awareness will be showcased, followed by a panel discussion with project representatives.

To close the event, organisers will outline next steps and extend a call to action, encouraging stakeholders to engage with the growing EU4Algae community.

This webinar offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals, researchers, and businesses to gain insights into emerging trends, discover new support tools, and expand their network within Europe’s blue economy.
